How Instinctual Is Surrender?

Surrender is an instinct. Surrender is also a choice.

An old, biological surrender runs through human bodies: the nervous system yields when resistance feels dangerous, when fighting feels futile. You freeze. You appease. You go still. This is not decision — this is survival.

But another surrender exists entirely.
